the word : SECRET || 13.11.06,12:46 PM

it's hard to keep a secret amongst the community of archaeology.
why?
because everyone is talking and talking to each other, and almost always include you
or your secrets within the conversation.
i have been having difficulties on keeping mine, and i bet i am not the only one.
even though you're trying hard not to tell anyone, but they somehow manage to find out about things that wasnt supposed
to come out to the surface.

the book of secrecy is not an insurance of your secret's safety.
because when they found your book, that means the end of the world for you.
and you cannot even trust your very own friend.
they might talk, behind your back, and you wouldnt even know it.

i talk to.
i enjoy talking with my fellas.
but when it comes to my own secrets, i fell in silence.
or at least i tried.
or i when decided to talk, i lied.
why?
the ability to analyze amongst the student of archaeology is unbearable.
they're so good at it, because they spent one whole fucking semester to study how to analyze something.
and it seems like they're born with it.

something meaningful for me was supposed to be kept from public.
but eventually, i brought it up coincidentally and that satisfy them even better.

the word secret is not available on the archaeology's dictionary.
there are no secret.
everybody knows everything about everyone.
after you talk, whether you regret it or you're also relieved to have let it out, it's all in your shoulders.
nobody's talking resposibility of what comes out of your mouth.

they just enjoy listening to it,
and to splintered the words, mixing it with a few spices to get it hotter, then watch what will happen.

that also - my friend...
forced me to redefine the definition of friend.
one of my best said, "by then you'll recognize who's your real friend is."
my whole point of view about friends changed.
not trying to make myself right or a victim here.
it shook me up from the dream about having a friend to laugh or to cry with.
a friend is indeed more than just that.
especially when you're in archaeology.
you just never know.

there is no word such as SECRET.
